We compiled a handy cheat sheet for the announcement of a doctoral thesis, the narrow-sense thesis agreement and the application for approval of the courses for the doctoral program, colloquially called the thesis agreement. You should submit these documents early in your PhD studies and you are able to resubmit it at any time if you need to change e.g. the courses you plan to take or the language of your thesis. You can also have a look at our thesis agreement entry and our list of example courses for the curricular part.

Last weekend the Fachschaft Doktorat came together for another seminar. This time we settled down in the endless planes of the northernmost Weinviertel. The members of the freshly elected doctoral students representation met with the most experienced - although officially already retired - representatives in order to collect some new ideas and work on concepts that potentially make your study life as a doctoral candidate easier. After one and a half days of work we spend an evening in a local winery, but be assured that this was for scientific research only. We are already looking forward to the next seminar. And please note that if you would like to participate please do not hesitate to contact us. You're most welcome to join!

Since we currently feel uncomfortable holding an in person orientation session, we would like to provide the yearly updated presentation here:
